BERTUS HUISAMEN
Dad.
Granddad.
Friend.
Bertus is a resident of Potchefstroom, a city in the North-West Province of South Africa. After finishing school, he studied at the North-West University where he first obtained his B Comm(Law) degree, followed by an LL.B degree.
This is also where he met his wife to whom he has been married for 35 years and still counting.
Bertus is the proud father of three beautiful and talented children - two sons and a daughter. Two in-laws were later added - another son and daughter - whom he simply regards as his own.
But the best was yet to come. Becoming a granddad to 2 granddaughters and a grandson, has brought another dimension to his life that he would exhange for nothing.
He loves sport, in particular cricket and rugby, and he is also a keen golfer (with a lot to learn).
Bertus practised law as an attorney for 25 years in partnership with his own father, also an attorney with whom he has an incredibly strong bond as well.
Since 2005 he has been involved in the property industry, where he still actively pursues his career in marketing property with a focus on commercial and industrial property.
In 2003 he lost 3 of his close friends, all within a space of 3 weeks.
These tragic events marked the beginning of a new approach to life, and he became involved in counselling in the pursuit of making a difference in people's lives.
He also became a certified Life Coach, accredited with ICLC (Institute for Christian Life Coaches).
Bertus is a reborn Christian who is proudly standing on his Christian Principles, applying them to Life. He firmly believes that every person was born in the image and likeness of God, blessed and equipped with a specific life purpose.
Although his beliefs would form the basis and perspective from which the approach to life would be, this would not mean that the person seeking the advice need to be of the same religion, race or age.
Bertus has an unqualified love for all people.
